About Us

Founded in the Jubilee Year 2000, Mater Redemptoris House of Formation is a residential and retreat house, sponsored by the Diocese of La Crosse and staffed by the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, where girls and young women can learn about religious life and discern God’s will for their lives.

Mater Redemptoris House of Formation has fourteen beds for visitors and an additional five in the enclosure for the Sisters. Everyone in the house participates in prayers and common meals daily. Priests from the Diocesan Center celebrate Mass in the House of Formation chapel every morning.
