Mater Redemptoris House of Formation

It is with sadness that we share some news about Mater Redemptoris House of Formation.

We learned on May 18th that the Bishop is ending our ministry here at Mater Redemptoris.  We will be leaving on June 30th, so we had to cancel our summer retreats.  We were able to keep the Vocation Pilgrimage.  The men's seminary formation program, called Regency, is moving into the house in the fall.

We thank you for your support, prayers, financial assistance and joy over the years!  We have been honored to serve you, your daughters and families.  May Our Lady hold you close and bring you to her Son.  You are in our prayers.  Please keep us in your prayers during this time of transition as well.

  1. The Culture of Life Marian Pilgrimage included a week-long stay in La Crosse arriving by train from Seattle on June 3rd. We acquired information about this order of Sisters, and their ministry in La Crosse seems to be quite amazing. We are not even from this area, and are so saddened that they will be departing. From what we have read and heard, this is a huge loss for the Diocese of La Crosse. Wherever they are welcomed, people will be greatly blessed by their presence, ministry, service; and most of all, their prayers—the Fruit of which, among unknown others, will be Holy Vocations, both Religious and Laity. Lord, Jesus, bless your precious brides during this time of exile and always, and thank You for their beautiful and faithful Vocations that emulate our Holy Mother Mary. May your Beloved Apostle, Saint John, welcome them into their new home; we ask this through Your Holy and Precious Name, as we continue to pray and sacrifice for the healing and restoration of Holy Mother Church, including the Marian presence of Religious Sisters such as these. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom Come! — The prayers and Eucharistic Adoration of these Faithful Sisters will still be what blesses La Crosse and other Diocese with Holy Priests and Vocations.
